I am also curious if Mukouda will end up cooking using those mushrooms, I'm sure it'll recover health but I wonder if dries them and then chop them up finely and use it as garnish if there'd be still the effects in use.

In case you've forgotten Sui is the dedicated otherworldly trash processor. I suspect lvl's are not the only thing it gets from that, though with a sample size of one it's impossible to tell if it's due to the trash or being a special slime. (or maybe even both)
Also agreed, offering special food, telling him its in order to make tasty stuff or saying he won't be able to cook if he doesn't do something are the best ways to get him to do something.
Though telling him he'll get to fight something strong works as well he's a glutton and a battle maniac.

'magic mushrooms' are always dehydrated carefully before use, then normally they are 'consumed' in a tea. freeze dried mushrooms are AMAZING! they taste even more intense than the 'natural' ones you get off the store shelves. you just have to reconstitute them carefully. but our MC might find it hard to find dry ice in his grocery store skill. ;> but he could slice those healing mushrooms up and using aluminum foil dry them CAREFULLY over a bed of warm coals. i think the smartest option would be for our MC to consult a herbalist or alchemist on how to utilize the healing mushrooms in the best way.

Mukouda is putting entire carcasses of raw meat into his storage skill without a care.
If those don't rot away, I don't think he has to worry about fresh shrooms turning funky ^^
